We are seeking a Staff Accountant in our Assurance Services Division, who is a qualified CPA, and experienced in Canadian Public Accounting to join our growing team.
Skills:
- Highly organized and detail- Oriented.
- Self- Motivated, multi- Tasking, excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Drive to grow skills through ongoing research and professional education.
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision and within a team environment.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Word and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience working in a paperless environment and knowledge in CaseWare, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Tax Prep.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation or passed finalist.
- Minimum of 3 years- experience working in a Canadian Public Accounting Firm.
Responsibilities:
- Significant experience in Public Accounting with 3 year or more without CPA designation will also be considered.
- Independently plan and execute audit and review engagements for small to medium- Ized clients with minimal supervision.
- Supervise and manage junior staff members.
- Working knowledge of ASPE, Generally Accepted Auditing and Review Standards.
- Knowledge of IFRS will be an advantage.
- Experience in preparing Notice to Reader Statements and Corporate tax returns is a distinct advantage.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and regularly monitor deadline budgets.
