Operations Analyst - Hamilton

Nations Fresh Foods is a multi- Cultural grocery store chain operating in Hamilton, Woodbridge, Vaughan, and Toronto. Our mission of - Daily fresh, daily affordable- Drives our efforts to provide a superior shopping experience to our shoppers through everyday low prices and a wide selection of grocery goods.
To serve the modern lifestyle in the core of downtown Hamilton, our Hamilton flagship store has a large food court area with worldwide cuisines that are ready to eat or heat at home. Along with our fresh grocery selection and hot foods kitchen, we also provide an excellent catering service as well.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Analyst to join our Hamilton supermarket team. The Operations Analyst will be responsible for analyzing store operations data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and leading initiatives to implement changes that optimize store performance and profitability.

1. Bachelor degree or above in business administration, economics, statistics, or related field;
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations analysis, process optimization, and business planning;
3. Exceptionally adept at retail and operations analytics for the supermarket industry, proficient in utilizing a wide variety of information compiling and analysis tools and software;
4. Able to transform complex data sets into meaningful information and generate actionable recommendations;
5. Familiar with the common product categories offered for sale in a multi- Cultural supermarket primarily targeting Chinese- Canadian shoppers;
6. Familiar with the operations process and systems used in a supermarket retail environment, including point of sale, inventory management, sales tracking, and vendor management;
7. Proficient in data analysis and visualization software, including Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BI/Cognos/Tableau;
8. Strong analytical and problem- Olving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze store operations data, including sales, revenue margins, fixed and variable expenses, inventory levels, stock turnover, and customer traffic;
- Develop and implement comprehensive KPI metrics to evaluate store performance;
- Collaborate with cross- Functional teams, including store managers, marketing, supply chain and warehousing to develop and implement action plans to address operational issues;
- Optimize the store- inventory restocking process with the goal of reducing both excess inventory and stockouts, taking into account supplier lead- Times, seasonal product demands, and consumer shopping trends;
- Suggest potential areas of automation in the ordering and restocking process to increase efficiency and reduce human error;
- Analyze the effects of store initiatives such as our mobile shopping app, seasonal promotions, unique SKUs, and value- Added services on consumer conversion rates and customer loyalty;
- Examine the feasibility of potential growth areas and new revenue streams for Nations Fresh Foods, ensuring compatibility with our existing operations;
- Track current and historical store operations, create future performance forecasts, and provide regular reporting and analytical insights to senior management on key operations metrics.

Salary: $41- $45 per hour
Job Type: Full- Time (37. 5 hours  week), Permanent
Vacations: 10 business days (2 weeks) of paid vacation per calendar year
