An ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's or graduate degree in Geological or Civil Engineering. The applicant must be registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with EGBC. A minimum of 5 years of experience related to mining, hydropower and/or infrastructure project development with a strong background in geotechnical analysis is required. The successful applicant will play a key role in a variety of mining and hydropower projects and must be able to work with multi-disciplinary teams. This position includes opportunities for domestic and international travel and will involve field assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and participating in geotechnical/hydrogeological site investigation programs
- Completing geotechnical and/or civil engineering analyses and design
- Overseeing construction projects
- Coordinating technical work within several disciplines and groups
- Project management activities
- Writing technical reports
- Preparing detailed proposals and schedules
- Mentoring and training junior and intermediate staff
