Requirements:
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): (Wilderness) First Aid Certificate, Guide certification, Valid driver's licence, Criminal record check

Experience: 1- 2 years in outdoor guiding and trail riding

Languages: Good English, other languages are a plus

Specific Skills: Assemble camping gear and supplies, Advice on safety and regulations, Plan trips, Set up and take down camps, Provide outdoor, wilderness and wildlife instruction, Prevent legislation violations, Handle and care for livestock, conservation projects

Essential Skills: Teamwork, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Continuous learning, Determination, Orienteering skills
Responsibilities:
Planning, preparing and leading hiking and horse pack trips into the remote backcountry

Navigation along wilderness trails and following trail procedures and environmental guidelines

Camp preparation and management

A great understanding of local flora and fauna and sharing your knowledge with your guests

Creating transformational experiences for guests focusing on involvement and reflection

Responsibility and initiative taking as well as accountability

Ability to handle stressful situations

Empowered, capable leader who takes charge

High level of situational awareness

A broad range of wilderness skills and experiences

Wildlife safety, with a focus on bear safety and first aid

Horsemanship including, western riding, saddling, packing and shoeing as well as range management

Participation in Conservation projects
