Looking for a job that will allow you to combine your clinical expertise and your proven leadership skills? We have the position for you! We can offer you an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator in our Mental Health & Substance Use program located in Burnaby.
This position will be responsible for improving staff and physician compliance with the BC Mental Health Act (MHA).  It will be assigned multiple sites to provide education and expert consultation about authorizing care using the MHA and other related legal frameworks.  Examples of activities are documentation assessments, coaching and feedback, group education, and policy and procedure development.  This work will support people in all parts of the facilities where the MHA may be used and could extend to areas and organizations that are connected to local MHA use such as law enforcement.  This role will be part of a multidisciplinary team doing similar work at other facilities, providing project planning input to Fraser Health leadership, and consulting to government Ministries to revise or create new MHA regulations and practice supports.

Planning educational activities and evaluating program effectiveness
Participating in research, policy, quality improvement, and risk management activities

Your background includes:

Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
Three (3) years of recent related clinical experience in the designated clinical area, including one (1) year of education and/or leadership experience
Completion of post graduate course work and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
Valid BC Driver’s Licence and access to personal vehicle for business-related purposes
