Position Description:
We're expanding our Financial Services Team in Atlantic Canada and we need your skills, enthusiasm, and dedication as part of our team.

Position Summary:
As a Business Analyst, your future duties and responsibilities:
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to capture business needs, define requirements and business processes.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, outlining functional and non-functional specifications and utilize Jira tool to organize and submit stories to Technology.
• Coordinate with Team for project deliverables - lead and document project status meetings.
• Work with the Solution Designers and developers and contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed projects.
• Create comprehensive acceptance criteria and test steps to provide QA and business teams expected results for success in relation to product, performance, user acceptance and operational acceptance testing.
• Act as a team coordinator with our Technology Solutions team on planned platform enhancement and hotfix releases.
• Assist with the preparation of complex data files using MS Excel (formulas and data manipulation) for mass updates (insert, delete, modify) through Salesforce data loader and data import wizard.
• Participate in process improvement plans, roadmap initiatives and projects, with a focus on process optimization and promoting alignment across teams.
• Adhere to client defined Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines.
• Support a positive work environment that promote service to business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience.
• 5+ years of IT experience including 3+ years as a Business Analyst, BA certification is an asset.
• Strong collaboration experience working within a team.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, presentation and change management skills.
• Demonstrable strong, dynamic written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
• Experience with Agile methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes, developing user stories and working through backlog.
• Hands on experience or knowledge of Java and API development is an asset.
• Hands on experience or certification in a Cloud technology, specifically Azure, is an asset.
• Release management experience is an asset
• Experience with reporting, data management and complex institutional client relationships would be a strong asset.
• Preference for more advanced users in MS Office Suite, particularly with manipulating data in Excel (VBA, pivot tables, formulas, etc.). Ability to build macros is an asset.
• Experience in banking or insurance domains is
highly preferred.
