Our client is looking for a Project Manager who has project management experience in commercial construction with large scale projects. Our client is a dynamic, owner managed company specializing in new building construction, renovations, tenant improvements, facility maintenance, and building expansions and is looking for a Project Manager based in Edmonton, Alberta to manage existing and build new business.

• Manage staff through different sites and projects and coordinate/supervise the work of third parties
• Quality assurance throughout all stages of construction
• Manage trades, construction, schedules of work and deadlines
• Ensure the corporate safety requirements, standards and construction processes are met
• Organize and control daily operations
• Manage overall project performance which includes cost, schedule, scope, quality and safety.
• Develop project-specific plans, and reporting processes
• Provide overall technical expertise of the project life cycle during the bidding, planning, mobilization, execution and demobilization phases.
• Track and report to clients on change orders that will adversely affect project budget and schedule
• Other ad hoc duties

Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience in project management in a construction environment
• Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree or Certified Engineer Technologist
• Great communication skills in both written and verbal English
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work in a high paced, high volume environment
• Great people and management skills and the ability to work with all levels of employees
• Knowledge of construction process, building and safety codes
