Project Engineer - Saskatoon

The primary responsibilities of the position include:
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environment has the highest priority in all activities undertaken by Engineering and Design personnel
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external management teams
• Plan and co-ordinate multi-discipline engineering design assignments within and across disciplines to agreed budget and schedule
• Work with discipline leads and project personnel to develop engineering solutions which meet or exceed customer requirements
• Coordinate with Discipline Department Managers to assure alignment of Quality objectives and resource allocation
• Work with the PMs, PEs and discipline leads for input into the Project Execution Plans and Engineering Plans as required
• Review and approve discipline man-hour estimates
• Prepare project work breakdown structure
• Work with Project Integration Engineer to develop appropriate Workshare plan
• Provide technical interface with customer as required
• Holds regular discipline meetings to ensure issues are communicated.

Job Requirements

• Strong understanding of multi-discipline engineering delivery and detailed knowledge of the application of engineering processes
• Over 15 years relevant industry experience
• Demonstrated ability to drive Safety in Design
• Understanding of the Engineering Design Systems used on projects
• Able to actively initiate inter-discipline / department dialogue
• Able to transfer knowledge and mentor others
• Able to create a collaborative, team based environment
