Breakfast Television Edmonton is looking an enthusiastic and qualified individual to fill the role of Producer.
This role will report directly to the Local Content Manager, Breakfast Television Edmonton.Responsibilities: Help produce daily newscasts and other programming segments. Create and research story ideas.
Write and create news story production.
Solicit interesting news guests for programming.
Review and maintani news writing standards.
Meet audience information needs, striving to increase viewership and sales potential of the program Accountable for all aspects of quality control including on-air delivery and ensuring that all broadcast standards are met Liaise with Reporters and other producers with respect to content and story development Assist in the production of all news specials Participate in show critque sessions Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications: Five to ten years of television news producing experience in a major market A creative vision and keen editorial judgment Superior writing, organizational and interpersonal skills Present a demo reel illustrating the above qualifications Experience with Quantel Technology and Autocue Qnews applications Proven Control Room experience A broadcast journalism diploma or equivalent experience You will be required to work shifts Must be able to work in a team environment, work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
