Key Responsibilities
Execute annual RFQ/RFP’s for key and or high value materials and supplies to ensure best value purchasing.
Identify new sources for key supplies/materials from outside Canada to decrease costs while maintain value.
Consolidate supplies where possible to increase purchasing power
Provide branches with all key suppliers to allow branches to continue to purchase materials effectively and efficiently.
Skills & Knowledge required:
Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience
Post-Secondary Community College education
C.P.P (Certified Professional Purchaser) or SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) designation or working towards completion of designation
Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective organizational and creativity skills to purse resolutions to procurement issues in a timely manner.
