Java Script Developer - Vancouver

We are a well-established Vancouver based software company embarking on an ambitious from the ground up UI redesign. Our plan is to replace the legacy UI across our application suite with a modern, responsive, mobile-first, , UI. In order to accomplish this we are aggressively staffing up a UX/UI group to architect and execute on the plan. You are an experienced Java Script coder, with professional experience building modern web applications looking to join a growing, well-resourced team in the early stages of an exciting project. Your primary experience should be JS/(X)HTML DOM based; design and/or back-end experience is a bonus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a JavaScript library for our next generation User Interface.
- Experience with industry like standard libraries like jQuery or similar libraries.
- Invoke RESTful APIs for client-based responsive web applications.
- Develop UIs in HTML5 and CSS3.
- Work with the UX Designer team to implement modern, rich and standards-based web applications
Special Knowledge, Skills:
- Strong leader with can-do attitude.
- Unwavering drive and commitment to design world class user experiences
- UI Development experience, especially with Java Script and HTML5 / CSS3.
- Strong communication skills required, including presentation skills in front of development groups.
- Familiarity with Agile and other software development methodologies.
- Experience in graphics design a plus.
Prior Experience/Previous Positions related to current position:
- 5+ years as a UI Developer with solid JavaScript and HTML / CSS experience
