Job Description:

HR Resources is looking for a Bilingual French/English Editor for their food magazine.

*Plan, write, edit and supervise the photography and design of two food magazines, for English and French speaking Canadians

*Must be completely bilingual

*The editor needs the skills to develop an editorial outline that reflects not only the most important food trends in Canada (with a keen understanding of any differences between the English and French consumer) but also responds to clients corporate objectives.

*Must be a combination of food journalist and marketer who is comfortable interfacing with a broad range of demanding clients.

*The editor also needs to develop position papers on a wide variety of food and media-related topics (what?s the best way to drive consumers from the magazine to the website, what kind of food content makes sense to deliver to the hockey mom, how to evolve the messaging to people with diabetes etc.) with clear, strategic thinking and be conversant with good strategy for digital delivery of content.

*The position will be based in Canada onsite at the clients head office

*The editor will work closely with the account executive and as the company representatives in Canada will work together to help manage the relationships, particularly with the food team based in Canada. The position will involve a fair amount of travel to the US to supervise photo shoots.
