GSC requests an Desktop Engineer:Due to a significant growth in the businesses project work they have an exciting opportunity for an SOE Engineer to develop and monitor the Standard Operation Environment. With offices in  Australia and New Zealand. You will be developing ongoing support and maintenance processes for standardization across multiple customers and competencies for problems, critical environmental issues.Activities:-Develop, document and maintain the desktop SOE design principles for all desktop customers-Develop and document desktop SOE design and implementation templates for generic customers to be used for new contract bids-SOE Design -Research new technologies for incorporation into future desktop SOE designs-Packaging of desktop applications for remote deployment-Assist with the development and enhancement of relevant standards, procedures and guidelines-Assume the role of technical leader or design engineer in SOE deployment/refresh projects-Be involved with the implementation of any other desktop associated projectswhat we expect from you:-3+ years experience in SOE design, development and implementation-3+ years of managing and supporting desktop hardware and software-Professional documentation skills for use in customer proposals, user training and technical documents-General knowledge of varying Desktop, Laptop, PDA's and printer hardware-Troubleshooting software conflicts-Desktop management, application packaging and deployment using SCCM and CA -Unicenter.  Experience in Novell ZENWorks and and Altiris is highly desirable-Application packaging and deployment.-Microsoft Windows family of Operating Systems, XP to current-Microsoft unattended deployment methodologies for Windows XP & Windows 7-Solid experience in problem resolution in a PC/LAN environment-Exposure to the processes of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration -ManagementApply Now'
