Court reporter - Nova Scotia

Job Description
    News reporter Daily Progress news reporters are expected to cover a variety of topics and subject areas. Reporters must cover breaking news, contribute to special sections, produce multimedia content, participate in social media efforts and have demonstrated ability to produce enterprise journalism for multiple platforms. Attention to detail, accuracy and sound news judgment are key characteristics of reporters for The Daily Progress. The position requires someone who is comfortable with and eager to operate in a Web-first mindset and who is attentive to opportunities to tell stories on multiple platforms. Subject areas will vary, but will include an emphasis on public safety and courts and local government, with significant general assignment duties.     Required Skills
    Candidate will have at least a bachelor's degree. Preferred candidate will have reporting experience at a daily or weekly newspaper with a demonstrated ability to write both breaking news for the Web as well as in-depth, enterprise stories with clarity. Proficient in working in a Windows environment.Required Experience
