This is a back office role not a client facing one.

Our Financial Recovery Services practice has an immediate opening for an organized and professional
individual that is adaptable, has strong interpersonal skills and be able to function within a strong local team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for various
functions related to consumer bankruptcies and proposals.

Responsibilities will include but not exclusive:

- Assist consumer debtors and creditors, both in person and by telephone, as it relates to bankruptcies
and proposals
- Review applications, prepare files for input to industry specific software
- Perform initial consultations, upon qualification
- Perform counseling sessions, upon qualification
- Schedule appointments. Assist in completion of application, asset forms
- Prepare cheque requisitions and deposits forms
- Prepare Statement of Affairs for personal bankruptcies and consumer/proposals
(e.g. input creditor and asset information)
- Attendance at court on all matters
- Preparation of the Section 170 report
- Review and calculate surplus income
- Any other duties as requested

Qualifications & Behavioral Competencies will include:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Very detailed orientated
- Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage multiples tasks and a variable workload as required
- Proficient in MS Word (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Ascend would be a definite asset
- Minimum of 3 -10 years of previous Insolvency experience
- Enrolled or completed BIA Administrator Course is preferred
- Enrolled or completed BIA Counseling Course is preferred
- Must be able to liaise well with staff and outside parties
- Capable of administering an insolvency file from beginning to completion
- Knowledge of Ascend or other industry specific software as required
